Title IX Compliance
Consistent with Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, Hudson Valley Community College does not discriminate against students, faculty or staff based on sex in any of its programs or activities, including but not limited to educational programs, employment and admission. Sexual harassment, including sexual violence, is a kind of sex discrimination and is prohibited by Title IX and the college.
The college is committed to responding promptly and effectively when it learns of any form of possible discrimination based on sex, sexual harassment or sexual violence. You have the right to make a report to public safety, local law enforcement, and/or state police or choose not to report; to report the incident to the college; to be protected by the college from retaliation for reporting an incident; and to receive assistance and resources from the college.

The SUNY Sexual Assault & Violence Response (SAVR) Resources website provides members of the SUNY community with information to seek resources and support, and to report the crime to law enforcement and the campus. On April 10, 2023, our campus began an online administration of the Sexual Violence Prevalence (SVP) Campus Climate Survey. A summary of the survey results are available in the 2023 Sexual Violence Prevalence (SVP) Campus Climate Survey Report (PDF).
For the purposes of compliance with section 106.45 of the Title IX Final Rules, the SUNY Student Conduct Institute's Posted Training webpage includes all training materials created by the Student Conduct Institute for member institutions to train Title IX Coordinators, investigators, decision-makers and any person who facilitates an informal resolution process in Title IX compliance and practices as of Aug. 14, 2020.
